MIPS: Multi-directional Impact Protection System

MIPS adds extra protection against rotational movement. MIPS technology is a revolution in safety, allowing the helmet to slide relative to the head and providing extra protection against the brain’s rotational movement caused by angled impacts. Because our priority is to keep you safe and protected in all circumstances.

A single integrated system works better than two independent parts. That’s why we decided to combine the Mips low-friction layer with our helmet fit system. The result is a seamless, lighter feel inside the helmet, providing a great fit and comfort on longer rides.

AVID Progressive EPS

When developing helmets that perform against all types of impacts, the details are key. High-density EPS ensures that major impacts are absorbed effectively. Low-density EPS, however, provides superior performance against less severe impacts. Bollé helmets with AVID liner technology use a combination of different EPS densities and/or optimized ventilation channels to virtually reduce the density at the top. The result is a lighter, better-ventilated helmet with progressive shock absorption that absorbs a wider range of impacts.
