A fin with a novel conception in terms of materials and design but that enjoys the exclusive characteristics of Cressi diving fins while maintaining the spirit of the legendary Frog.
FROG PLUS is made of a new variant of low modulus polypropylene that, together with a particular structure, combines great flexibility, softness and resistance to demanding use (including as a rental fin and school in a diving center), durability and an unprecedented aesthetic in fins designed with this philosophy. Frog Plus is the authentic 4x4 of Cressi fins.
Materials
The combination of 3 different materials guarantees the optimization of the requirements of each area of the fin without the need to increase thickness:
Polypropylene main body: a material inherited from freediving whose main characteristic is the very fast transmission of the applied energy. It is applied to the upper and inner area of the sole sandwich. It is very nervous and reactive and facilitates a very agile wingbeat and a dizzying advance. It has an effort/performance ratio clearly superior to rubber (natural or thermoplastic), polyurethane, E.V.A. and second only to carbon. Likewise, it has a great resistance to breakage to the point that Cressi guarantees it for life for sports use.
Flexible elastomer: Applied to the foot pocket and areas requiring flexibility and elasticity, as these influence the diver's comfort: the toe of the foot pocket, the interior of the sole, and the instep area in contact with the ankle. The fusion of both materials is achieved at the molecular level, and its durability is guaranteed for life for sports use.
Compact elastomer: Flexible but not elastic. It is applied to areas that require a rubbery composition, non-slip but firm and highly resistant, longitudinal ribs, sole of the foot pocket and support band of the foot (located in the middle area of the instep). It is also assigned to areas that require anti-slip capacity, inserts in the sole (area in contact with the ground) and anti-shock, such as the perimeter reinforcements of the upper.
Technical characteristics
The structure, studied for this new variant of the base material of the blade, aims to combine great strength with good channeling of water, protection of the lateral ribs and a soft toe for comfortable flapping and less erosion action due to accidental contacts. with the background. 360º pivoting buckles, with bayonet insertion in the foot pocket that prevents accidental loss of the female part. As an option, spring straps (AISI 316 steel) with buckles identical to the standard version but reinforced with a stainless steel pin are available.
