Structure in very flexible low modulus polypropylene | Robust construction | Excellent durability and versatility | Very comfortable pocket pocket | "Pocket pocket under the blade" design: The blade comes directly from the upper part of the pocket pocket, solidly joining the fin to the foot and transmitting all the effort generated by finning without loss of energy through soft areas | 360º rotating buckle with fixation to the exclusive fin | Medium-low stiffness | Possibility of adapting EBS buckle system in natural latex.
A fin with a novel conception in terms of materials and design but that enjoys the exclusive characteristics of Cressi diving fins while maintaining the spirit of the legendary Frog.
FROG PLUS is made of a new variant of low modulus polypropylene that, together with a particular structure, combines great flexibility, softness and resistance to demanding use (including as a rental fin and school in a diving center), durability and an unprecedented aesthetic in fins designed with this philosophy. Frog Plus is the authentic 4x4 of Cressi fins.
Materials
The combination of 3 different materials guarantees the optimization of the requirements of each area of the fin without the need to increase thickness:
Main body made of polypropylene: a material inherited from apnea whose main characteristic is the very rapid transmission of the applied energy. It is applied to the upper and internal area of the sole sandwich. It is very nervous and reactive and facilitates very agile flapping of its wings and dizzying progress. It has a clearly superior effort/performance ratio than rubber (natural or thermoplastic), polyurethane, E.V.A. and only surpassed by carbon. Likewise, it has great resistance to breakage to the point that Cressi guarantees it for life for sports use.
Flexible elastomer: It is applied to the pocket pocket and the areas that require flexibility and elasticity, since they influence the comfort of the diver, the toe of the pocket pocket, the inside of the sole and the area of the instep in contact with the ankle. The fusion of both materials is carried out at a molecular level and its solidity is guaranteed for life for sports use.
Compact elastomer: Flexible but not elastic. It is applied to areas that require a rubbery composition, non-slip but firm and highly resistant, longitudinal ribs, sole of the foot pocket and support band of the foot (located in the middle area of the instep). It is also assigned to areas that require anti-slip capacity, inserts in the sole (area in contact with the ground) and anti-shock, such as the perimeter reinforcements of the upper.
Technical characteristics
The structure, studied for this new variant of the base material of the blade, aims to combine great strength with good channeling of water, protection of the lateral ribs and a soft toe for comfortable flapping and less erosion action due to accidental contacts. with the background. It also uses several technologies common to the rest of the Cressi models.
"Footpocket under the blade" design: the blade arises directly from the upper part of the footpocket, solidly joining the fin to the foot and transmitting all the effort generated when finning without losing energy through soft areas. This format allows the water to be channeled from the very ankle to the final edge of the blade, unlike traditional models, in which the foot pocket does not have any contribution on the advance. In addition to improving the directionality of the flapping, this design provides benefits between 10% and 15% higher than those that would correspond to the fin due to its blade surface.
Thickness of the blade with a decreasing profile to improve the directionality of the flapping and achieve greater inertia of the final part of the fin.
Foot pocket reinforced in the upper area by means of an additional thickness and laterally by two polypropylene extensions from the blade to avoid energy dispersion in the process of transmission from the foot to the blade. Its three long volumes fit the foot comfortably but firmly, optimizing the use of effort.
360º pivoting buckles, with bayonet insertion in the foot pocket that prevents accidental loss of the female part. As an option, spring straps (AISI 316 steel) with buckles identical to the standard version but reinforced with a stainless steel pin are available.
Colours: White-black, Black-grey, Black-yellow, Light blue-grey, Black-pink
Sizes: XS-S, S-M, M-L, L-XL
