The MX-V is the evolution of the popular VX-3 model. Years of Arai experience are packed into this helmet. Ideal for motocross, enduro and off-road. As in all Arai helmets, the redundant anatomical shape of the shell embodies the R75 Shape concept. Outer shell: SCLC (High Complexity Laminate Structure)

The latest aerospace fibers, with 30% higher flexural strength and elongation at break than standard fiberglass, are the constituent material of the majority of the ScLc shell. Although considerably more expensive than most fiberglass (and, in fact, more expensive than many carbon fiber materials), this Super Fiber provides impressive strength and flexibility, maximizing shell integrity. A specially designed mechanically expanded fiber mat, sandwiched between the inner and outer layers of Arai's proprietary Super Fiber laminates, is used to reinforce and bond these two Super Fiber layers without adding significant weight to the hull.

VENTILATION

MX-V Ventilation

The easy-to-clean diffusers generate an intense vacuum by the Venturi effect at the rear. Center top vent to increase airflow. The air inlet located under the visor captures fresh air and directs it towards the interior of the helmet. FRONT VENTILATION

The IC Duct5 allows for 11% more airflow than the previous Delta Duct5. The drive mechanism is now larger, allowing for easier opening and closing. The IC Duct5 has three positions: closed, semi-open and fully open, to adjust the airflow and prevent water from entering when fully closed.

Inner chin bar vent shutter

The opening/closing system of the chin air intake is azionabile from the inside to prevent the entry of debris or dust inside the helmet.

Rear ventilation

Removable three-piece rear air vent

It generates a huge vacuum by Venturi effect in the back. It can be disassembled (for cleaning) or easily replaced.

They generate low pressure behind the rear ventilation opening to improve the extraction of hot air. Integrated into the shell for better aerodynamics, they reduce wind noise and prevent buffeting at high speeds. Inside, a small foam barrier helps absorb and dampen excess noise without compromising ventilation performance.

Designed to provide an even more snug fit and improve comfort under the chin, the FCS system works through a foam spring support in the cheek pad that compresses and rebounds, providing the necessary support without an excess of pressure.

Adding more capability for perfect fit and comfort, the cheek pads include a 5mm peel-off layer for extra room if needed.

Comfort

Emergency Release System (ERS)

Allows easier access in case the rider is injured. The cheek pads can be slide-removed by pulling on the orange tabs built into the cheek pads. This makes it easier for rescuers and medical personnel to remove the helmet. And the risk of further injury is minimized.

It works in conjunction with the Dual-Pivot® Chin Vent to better direct cool air to the inner surface of the visor, while directing hot breathed air downwards and away from the inner surface of the helmet.

Comfort: Dirt removal

Penetration tested
