Retro and vintage helmets are fine but they have nothing to do with an original. Way back in 1954, Bell founder Roy Richter made his first helmet out of fiberglass and called it the "Custom 500." So the Custom 500 pays homage to Richter's original design, updated with the inclusion of advanced protection technology.
