- Clipless pedals . They are those where the shoes are attached to them thanks to the cleats. With a simple click they are already attached to the pedals. Although it may not seem like it, they are easy to unhook with a lateral movement with your foot.
- Mixed pedals . On the one hand they are automatic and therefore you can hold the shoe with the cleats and on the other it turns out to be a conventional pedal, with which, depending on the terrain on which we are going to pedal that day, we can choose one side or the other. An example of them are from the XLC brand.
- City bike pedals. They have a flat platform, with reflective parts and the edges are usually serrated or smooth. We have the classic Vicma style ones, or if you want a more personal style, the Components brand offers retro pedals with very original toecaps and leather strap.
As an accessory for the pedals you can also put a toe clips , which prevent the foot from moving forward in the case of non-automatic pedals or a strap that will hold it, preventing it from coming loose. .
