High performance fin | Combines three materials in a single fusion with hardness and performance appropriate to each area | Shovel in highly reactive polypropylene | Foot pocket with rigid band for an ideal transmission of energy | Footpocket Centered Shovel | Medium-high stiffness | 10% stiffer black HD version | EBS buckle system with natural latex strap: maximum convenience, comfort and energy transmission.
MASTER ARA is the most technical Cressi diving fin, the one that achieves better performance in compromised situations (currents, etc.) and the one that allows you to maintain a higher forward speed with a very contained effort. This fin is based on the construction and material principles of freediving and spearfishing fins, in particular, on the concept that began when developing the prestigious Gara series. It is the fin preferred by instructors, professionals and technical divers, who find in it an unparalleled propulsive instrument in any condition.
      Materials
Made of three different materials fused in a single process (patented by Cressi). Each one is applied to different areas of the fin according to its requirements in terms of flexibility, hardness, reaction or resistance. In this way, the required ideal dynamic characteristic can be assigned to each zone, without the need to increase thicknesses, achieving maximum lightness and inertia savings:
Flexible elastomer -thermo-rubber- Shore 50º (gray): applied to areas that require flexibility and elasticity (toe of the foot pocket, interior of the sole and area of the instep in contact with the ankle) since they influence the comfort of the diver.
Shore 90º compact elastomer (black colour): flexible but not elastic. It is applied to areas that require a rubbery composition, non-slip but firm and highly resistant, such as the longitudinal ribs, the sole of the foot pocket and the foot support band (located in the middle of the instep). This material connects the critical point of energy transmission (the instep) with the nerves in a single piece, avoiding the usual loss of energy through excessively flexible foot pocket compounds (heavy, slow flapping and fatigue of the instep).
Polypropylene: a material inherited from freediving whose main characteristic is the very rapid transmission of the applied energy. It is applied to the upper and inner area of the sole sandwich. It is very nervous and reactive and facilitates a very agile wingbeat and a dizzying advance. It has an effort/performance ratio clearly superior to rubber (natural or thermoplastic), polyurethane, E.V.A. and second only to carbon. It also has great resistance to breakage to the point that Cressi guarantees it for life for sports use.
Its wide blade in high modulus polypropylene without any type of commercial ornamentation maintains the original reactivity of polypropylene and its wide surface guarantees very comfortable progress with very slight movements, as well as good stability for the diver in static situations. The absence of lateral ribs at the end of the blade allows you to easily control the fin in the water, to alternate types of flapping, turning or stabilizing. The foot pocket has three different volumes with a narrowed middle area so that the foot remains firmly fixed inside and the foot/foot pocket effort transmission is direct and precise.
      EBS BUCKLE SYSTEM. +Info
It combines new buckles with an essential and hydrodynamic design, adaptable to all Cressi models, with an innovative self-adjusting strap made of highly elastic pure latex. Latex is the most elastic material in nature and has the property of being able to stretch up to 8 times its length without breaking and with total elastic memory, that is, recovering the initial length. Applied to the fin strip, it gives us enormous advantages:
Reduces the need for sizing as the same strip comfortably covers wide ranges of elongation.
It allows a relation comfort of placement vs fixation of the fin, well above the spring systems, precisely because of its high elastic coefficient (X8 against X1.5 of the spring).
Eliminates the cumbersome need for adjustment of traditional buckles, a process that does not always guarantee the correct fixation of the heel, especially in novice divers or stressful situations during the equipment process.
It allows, while maintaining the comfort of flapping, a high level of pressure on the heel, which is essential to achieve a correct transmission of the energy applied to the fin without loss of energy due to the “spring effect”.
Assimilates the crushing of the neoprene of the boot when descending and compressing the neoprene without loss of fixation.
It is easily replaceable and essential both conceptually and in its manufacture and assembly.
The natural latex used is of the highest quality without fillers that alter its performance and guarantees high resistance to use, saltpeter and sun exposure.
