The use of the new O2 controller allows for carburetion control in the area where the lambda probe controls the air-fuel ratio entering the combustion chamber. This device is capable of operating the lambda probe at a value other than stoichiometric, enhancing the air-fuel ratio to improve torque and power while respecting the engine's DNA.
The main objective of Malossi's research and development department is to ensure that each vehicle responds to a calibration designed to optimize performance and fuel consumption.
Complete carburetion control is achieved by combining the O2 controller with the Force Master ECU. The synergy between these two devices is limitless; the entire system is managed, controlled, and optimized for any processing step proposed by Malossi.
The evolution of engine control systems in recent years has led to the design of this new version. The emulation of the Lambda sensor signals now perfectly matches the original sensor, and the aesthetics have been refined and enhanced with a vital optical interface that emulates the device's actual operation.
The Power LED checks if the power is correct, while the other two LEDs show the fuel ratio. When the vehicle is started, the Power LED and the Rich LED illuminate. After the sensor warms up and if the vehicle is in the closed-loop Lambda control zone, the Rich and Lean LEDs will alternately illuminate. This behavior indicates the device's correct operation through continuous calibration of the A/F ratio.
