The volume of the shoe insert is the result of in-depth anatomical studies, such that the volumes are proportional to the widening effect caused by the bootie depending on the foot size. It does not follow a fixed size-to-size ratio, as a small foot proportionally "bulks up" much more than a large one when wearing booties. The instep incorporates a 2 cm wide "Self-adjusting" band in its center, which allows for slight expansion (2 to 4 mm depending on size) to accommodate people with a high instep or when using thick booties. The expansion has been meticulously calibrated to avoid impairing energy transmission.
