HELICOIL® plus threaded inserts are made of austenitic chrome-nickel steel (tensile strength of at least 1400 N/mm2). The rolled nut thread has a high surface quality. This ensures a wear resistant thread with an extremely low and constant thread friction torque. With repeated screw connections, a higher and constant pre-stressing force is achieved with the same tightening torque. At the same time, this leads to better utilization of the yield strength of high-strength bolts. Torsional stress is significantly reduced: Compared to cut threads, the surface roughness of HELICOIL® plus is up to 90 percent lower.

Caution "With threads = M14, the pin must be broken with needle-nose pliers by axial movements up and down."
