The Burnishing Brush is the ideal tool for thoroughly cleaning rusted holes to accommodate guide sleeves in collets. The receiving hole in the caliper housing is often more or less corroded. As a result, the guide sleeve is pinched, and the guide pins are clamped on it. The caliper cannot move freely, resulting in more braking problems. After removing the old guide sleeves, the locating holes in the caliper housing are ground to bare metal with the sharpening brush. To do this, it is better to use a cordless screwdriver (adjustment of a maximum of 500 rpm) and only turn it clockwise (clockwise). The polishing brush is suitable for use with different diameters of guide sleeve sockets. After cleaning the holes in the saddle shell, they are lightly coated with Plastilube. This prevents re-corrosion and makes the new guide sleeves easier to fit.
Attention: Never grease the guide sleeves on the inside or the guide pins! These slippery surfaces must remain dry!
