The EVO handlebar is ProTaper's flagship spiderless handlebar. Oversized diameter handlebars without crossbars were invented and patented by ProTaper in 1991. Without sacrificing strength, this design provides greater flex and shock absorption than conventional bars, offering greater rider comfort and reducing fatigue. Using premium 7000 series aluminum alloy construction and a computer profiled four millimeter thick wall design, the EVO handlebar is up to 25% lighter and 45% stronger than competitive bars.
