Acoustafil® uses only highly textured fiberglass yarn made from continuous filament fiber. These are converted into a nonwoven fabric using a unique processing technology.

The construction provides a range of technical features including:

- A choice of fiber chemistry that offers resistance to temperatures up to 850oC.
- A range of densities to suit silencer production and end application.
- Release of the compression (expansion) of the material in the initial heating to guarantee the maximum homogeneous distribution of fibers inside the chamber or vacuum.

Acoustafil® is now the acoustic filler solution of choice for some of the most internationally recognized manufacturers of specialty sports car and motorcycle mufflers, both for OEMs and aftermarket.

Acoustafil® has excellent thermal properties and the ability to expand when heated, making it the ideal solution for insulating between the twin layers of emission control systems, particularly where there is a potential for gas to flow over the fibers.
