Lezyne was founded on March 1, 2007 by professional triathlete Micki Kozuschek. At the height of his career he started Maxcycles and brought affordable, high-quality bikes and clothing to the German market. Shortly thereafter he moved to the US and founded Truvativ, which grew to become a leading manufacturer of OEM cycling components.

At a time when plastic copied accessories from poorly designed catalogs were the standard, Lezyne''s goal was to design and produce premium quality accessories that meet the same high standards as high-end bicycle components. In a nutshell, Lezyne''s goal was engineering design.

Today the goal remains the same and Lezyne is now a leader in the cycling accessories industry with award-winning products around the world.

Since 2011 Lezyne has been developing LED lights and once again setting new standards in design. A team of in-house product designers and engineers work under the direction of Micki Kozuschek to create the highest quality lights in the industry.
