Mitsuboshi Shokai was founded in 1919 to manufacture cotton transmission belts.

The main material of power transmission belt production was changed from cotton to rubber.
In the 1940s, it began manufacturing flat and trapezoidal belts, as well as bicycle tires and tubes. Years later, it would start manufacturing timing belts, waterproofing sheets and interior and exterior components for automobiles.

After many years of developing and creating new products, it is in 2008 that it developed a new variable speed belt made up of engineering plastic and rubber blocks.
