      F.I.R.S.T. It is the new Braking braking system, unique and completely renewed in its main characteristics, precisely the FIRST of a new era.

      A completely new project, 100% Made in Italy and made by CNC, the result of our experience gained in competition.

      "First" guarantees tailored braking thanks to the new design that will allow you to manage the ergonomics of the brake REGARDLESS of the hydraulic adjustment.

      A set that you can adjust through the choice of several possible customizations.

      9mm or 10mm cartridge

      Interchangeable connection (3 sizes available)

      Compatible with discs up to 3mm thick without the need to use spacers and without disassembling the caliper.

      "MADE TO MEASURE" is one of our missions: to provide a suitable brake for everyone, perfect for each discipline and customizable according to the different needs of each cyclist.

      What has changed?:

      Lighter and more rigid pump and caliper. They weigh 60gr less than the I.N.CA.S. 2.0.

      New INDEPENDENT hydraulic adjustment of the lever position adjustment.

      Possibility to easily change the connection and therefore the reaction of the lever, to increase the power up to (+26%) compared to the I.N.CA.S. 2.0.

      New slimmer pump cartridge with more lubrication holes and polished piston chamber for better piston fluidity.

      New pump reservoir with larger volume (+10%) and easy extraction of brake fluid even in an upside-down position.

      New diaphragm system and pump cover for precise separation between oil and liquid. Avoid issues like fluid emulsions, flash voids, air issues after levering with the upright bike, and ultimately better management of fluid volume change.

      Simpler bleeding procedure: with built-in bleed nozzle in the highest position, so that bleeding is faster and more effective.

      New caliper mounting holes for better frame centering and faster installation.

      New clip pin with safety lock.

      Modified caliper o-ring housing geometry and tolerances for better piston recoil and faster brake fluid flow.

      Possibility to install discs up to 3mm thick directly – without the need for spacers or disassembling the caliper.

      All of this makes the new F.I.R.S.T. higher than IN.CA. S in terms of customization and performance. But above all, it is an EASY System to install, bleed and maintain.

      What can be customized?:

      Cartridge:

      F.I.R.S.T. (and I.N.C.A.S.) are the only brake systems on the market that offer the possibility of exchanging the cartridge, changing the diameter to radically change the braking performance.

      With the 9mm cartridge you get more linear but more powerful braking. The smaller area ensures high pressure in all passages (more power), while the low fluid flow translates into the need for more lever travel to transfer the same volume of fluid to the caliper (higher modulation). .

      With the 10mm cartridge you have a much more immediate braking action at the beginning of the lever travel, but less powerful. Its larger area develops less pressure through the tubes (lower peak power) while the higher fluid flow means the lever travel doesn't need to be as wide to transfer the same volume as the 9mm cartridge ( less modulation, it would be more of an “ON/OFF”)

      Connector Size:

      With the replacement of the connector, the reaction of the pump on the power of the system is modified.

      There are 3 connector sizes available:

      Short: more powerful braking action.

      Standard, supplied as standard: medium power braking action.

      Long: less powerful but more modulated braking action.

      Discs and Pads:

      The F.I.R.S.T. It is compatible with all our discs in all diameters, even 3mm thick, without the need to mount the ventilated spacer as was the case with the I.N.C.A.S system.

      The choice of disc greatly influences the performance of the brakes: pay attention to the choice of diameter and thickness of the disc. For light cyclists it is not recommended to mount a disc with a larger diameter and thickness because you run the risk of never being able to bring the pads to the correct temperature, thus you will never be able to develop the maximum performance of the system. On the contrary, for a heavy cyclist, too small discs and reduced thicknesses are not recommended, just the opposite of the previous case.

      The pads are also essential for proper braking. Lighter riders and/or bikes may be recommended softer (organic) pads that immediately reach the right temperature, while heavier riders and/or bikes (eg e-Bikes) may be advised to recommend softer pads. hard (sintered) for optimal heat management.

      F.I.R.S.T Compatibility with I.N.C.A.S.:

      F.I.R.S.T. uses the same pickups and hoses as IN.CA.S.

      Therefore, the same connectors can be used for your installation.

      The rest of the components are NOT compatible!

      What has been improved with F.I.R.S.T.?:

      EASY to install – The clamp slots have been enlarged.

      EASY to bleed – Dual hole cartridge and bleed pin.

      EASY Caliper Alignment – Perfect piston recoil for quick and accurate alignment.

      EASY lever adjustment – Totally independent lever and hydraulic adjustment.

      EASY Adjustment of Fluid Volume in the Reservoir – No more paying attention to the fluid level, just fill up completely and you're done.

      With no voids, now the air and liquid are separated by a new membrane.

      The pump handles volume changes much better.

      Less risk of hoses kinking at the junction with the pump – The hose now runs more parallel to the handlebars.

      Why 2 pistons again?:

      4 pistons no longer mean power

      It's just a matter of hydraulic-volume ratio. Our cartridge works with twice the pressure of other systems and our pistons are huge (Ø26mm)

      Better control of the brake fluid, the pads work in parallel and perfectly aligned with the discs.

      Easy maintenance.

      The seals last longer and actuate the pistons much better.

      The hydraulic ratio is extremely favorable for the size of the pump piston, and with the 9mm cartridge, the system is extremely modular.

      2 large pistons have larger chambers and less trouble connecting, creating less air retention and easier bleeding.
