The BTS Turbo Diagnostic Toolkit offers the ability to perform three quick tests tested without an OBD diagnostic tester to get a quick overview of the turbocharger environment.
The BTS Turbo diagnostic tool set has been developed to diagnose crankcase pressure, exhaust gas back pressure and pneumatic boost pressure monitoring.
In the case of charging problems in a motor vehicle, the failure does not always have to come from the turbocharger.
The turbocharger is often the victim of deficiencies in the environment.
For this reason, the turbocharger environment should always be analyzed during diagnosis to rule out peripheral faults.
The main tests are:
The hose balance test to measure crankcase pressure.
Exhaust gas back pressure measurement (e.g. DPF/exhaust system condition).
Check control pressure in pneumatic control/boost pressure control box.
