Allows quick pre-tightening of wheel bolts with a maximum of 75 NM
absolutely necessary for mounting wheels on vehicles with composite brake discs, e.g. BMW, Mercedes
For use with a 1/2" impact wrench.
Due to the design of composite brake discs, the wheel bolts must be tightened in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions when mounting the wheels.
Here we describe the correct tightening of the wheel bolts in 3 steps. 1:
1. Apply crosswise up to a maximum of 20 NM with the wheel unladen
2. Cross tightening to a maximum of 75 NM with the wheel unladen
3. Cross-tighten to the nominal torque according to the manufacturer's specifications with the wheel loaded.
Non-compliance can lead to deformation of the entire brake disc.
This often leads to brake chatter or ride irregularities and expensive brake discs have to be replaced.
