LOCTITE 648 is a high strength, low viscosity retaining compound commonly used for holding gears and sprockets to drive shafts and rotors on electric motor shafts.
LOCTITE® 648 is a high-strength, low-viscosity, fluorescent green, urethane methacrylate acrylic anaerobic retaining compound designed for bonding tight-fitting cylindrical components. Prevents loosening and leakage due to shock and vibration. Commonly used to fasten gears and sprockets to drive shafts and rotors on electric motor shafts. Provides solid curing performance.
Recommended for the permanent union of cylindrical parts that do not require disassembly.
For example, in retention of transmission shafts, assembly of keys, and fixation of bearings, transmission systems, bearings, bushings, shafts.
It offers high resistance on all metals, including passive substrates (for example, stainless steel).
Ideal for retaining mounts with clearance or interference.
