LOCTITE 243 is a blue, medium strength threadlocking adhesive that seals and secures nuts and bolts to prevent loosening due to impact and vibration.

LOCTITE® 243 is a general purpose threadlocker that provides a medium strength bond. LOCTITE 243 is suitable for all metals, including those with passive surfaces, such as stainless steel, aluminum and galvanized surfaces. It is proven to be tolerant of slight contamination by industrial oils, eg motor oils, anti-corrosion oils and cutting fluids.

For use on all metal fasteners including passive substrates such as stainless steel, aluminum, galvanized surfaces

Ideal for flywheel bolts, differential crown, crankshaft bolts, and cover fastening bolts, drain plugs, oil plugs, or water pumps

Has been shown to tolerate minor contamination by industrial oils: motor oils, anti-corrosion oils, and cutting fluids

Allows disassembly with hand tools for maintenance
