THERMAL GROUPS MHR TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS CYLINDER Material: special aluminum alloy with a high percentage of silica and titanium that guarantees a high index of non-resistance at high temperatures. Heat treatment: special temperature and stabilization which gives the material high firmness and rigidity, guaranteeing the constancy of the mechanical and dimensional characteristics up to temperatures of 250º C. Processing for brushing chips (polishing): carried out in the workplace with numerical control with very narrow tolerance of dimension and shape (cylindrical, roundness, perpendicularity). Internal surface bath: made with a Silica carbide bath on a Nickel sleeve (mold), heat treated, which guarantees a very high hardness of about 600HV0.1 / 5 with a very high resistance to erosion. Internal processing of the cylinder: with special machines that allow to obtain a high degree of perfection of finish in the sliding walls of the cylinder with crossed roughness following the angles imposed in the project phase. Evacuation and transfer diagram: studied and made expressly for the competition. The definition of the evacuation and transfer diagram is the product of a remarkable effort of our technicians in the static test bench and its applications in races and competitions. PISTON Material: aluminum alloy with a high percentage of silica in order to guarantee high resistance to heat and non-deformability to temperature variations. External coating: tin bath that guarantees a very low coefficient of friction. Structure: reinforced to resist the needs imposed by a thermal group for competition at the highest level but at the same time maintaining a remarkable lightness in order to reduce the inertial force. Casing: mono-casing with rectangular section in 1mm spheroidal iron with added hard chrome on the external surface. SEGMENTS Spheroidal iron segments,
