The production of these valve drive belts starts with a cloth/rubber mat that is sewn together in the first stage, to obtain a roll that is then mounted in the vulcanization mold with specific tooth profile.

During the following operations different layers of rubber material and the tension element are applied and hardened together. The tension cord (fiberglass) transmits the Hauptzuglast and gives the strap additional stability.

This tensile element is a continuous material that has not been assembled and therefore provides the tensile strength to the belt.

The visible inside at a location seam, therefore not a significant stability feature.
