Athena variator

The self-lubricating properties of the chain lagging reduce wear on the weights and cause smoother switching behaviour, which is reflected in higher engine power output again.

The better shifting characteristics, as well as the sophisticated roller bearings of the weights, cause better acceleration and a higher final speed. Therefore, this drive is not street legal.

This variator comes with 16x13mm weights in 8 grams. Maximum load of the counter-pressure spring 38.8 kg.
