YSS piston kit for stock motocross struts.

The piston kit contains a piston with a ring and shims.

With this piston kit, heat related sag in the suspension of the factory mounted shock is prevented.

The factory pistons are made of sintered metal, the cylinder of aluminum.

These two materials have fundamentally different temperature behavior: aluminum expands more than sintered metals. This results in too large a deviation in tolerances during driving and the piston ring can no longer seal. The result is a noticeable loss of power in the damper.

With its aluminum piston, YSS offers the same material, so the thermal properties are identical, the piston expands as much during driving as the cylinder, the tolerances remain the same, the piston rings seal effectively. The result is much better response, better damping. The shims supplied are designed for a perfect operation of the valve. The piston kit must be powered by the YSS MX spring, which adapts to the rider's weight, in order to develop its full potential.
