The Polini Big Evolution cylinder kit consists of a thermally treated aluminum cylinder to make it non-deformable, the surface of the head is nickel-plated to prevent the firing of detonations, CNC machining with centesimal tolerance, to have a perfect cylinder / cylinder head Coupling increasing durability of the components. There are 5 transfer ports plus a crossbar exhaust port to improve removal of burnt gases. The piston is made of gravity cast light alloy with a high silicon content with a cast iron ring, ground and lapped, the head is also made of gravity casting, so the mechanical strength can be compared to that of a head made of solid.
NB: To mount the Big Evolution Kit it is essential to drill the crankcase and replace the crankshaft with the new Polini complete with 85mm connecting rod specific for each model.
