EBC replaces the original rigid disc with a Full Floater brake disc.
The complete float, which is very complex and expensive to manufacture, offers decisive advantages when it comes to braking. The brake ring, which is sawn, drilled and ground from forged HPSR steel bars, can expand without hindrance and without deformation even during repeated hard braking, for example, when going down mountain passes. The low carbon content of the HPSR steel used also proves its worth in this case as it ensures very little structural change in the steel under the continuous thermal stress of heating and cooling the brake disc in harsh road use. An EBC Full Floater brake disc is always a significant safety gain.
- Brake ring milled from forged HPSR low carbon steel.
- Therefore, there is no distortion of the brake disc even with the highest load.
- There is no glazing of the braking surface, so the coefficient of friction remains constant.
- Braking surface drilled with an optimized hole pattern.
- Galvanized to protect it from corrosion.
- Anodized aluminum cube.
- The smallest manufacturing tolerances.
- EBC recommends EBC Double-H Sinter brake pads for the best braking performance.
