EBC HPSR brake disc, rigid version. MADE IN THE UK.
The aim of the development is to improve the braking performance compared to the original brake disc. EBC uses HPSR low carbon steel, which has an 18% higher coefficient of friction. This steel is much more resistant to rust than cast steel. In addition, the entire surface is protected by a 3 micron thick layer of zinc, which wears off in the area of the contact patch of the brake pad during braking. Only in this area can it rust more easily over a long life.
The brake discs are perforated in Vogelschwingendesign in order to get along with as few holes as possible and to optimize the cleaning of the brake disc from rainwater and brake dust. The fewer holes there are, the better the wet braking performance and the less wear.
- Brake ring machined from forged HPSR low carbon steel.
- Therefore, there is no distortion of the brake disc even at maximum load.
- Without vitrification of the braking surface, the coefficient of friction remains constant.
- Drilled brake surface with optimized hole pattern.
- Galvanized for protection against corrosion.
- Lower manufacturing tolerances.
- For the best braking performance, EBC recommends EBC Double-H Sinter brake pads.
- Independent design. OUTSIDE DIAMETER: 220MM INSIDE DIAMETER: 58.4MM CIRCLE SIZE: 76 MM QUANTITY OF HOLES: 4 HOLE DIAMETER: 8.5 MM THICKNESS: 3.5MM VERSION: RIGID
