Goal in development is to improve braking performance compared to the original brake disc. EBC uses HPSR steel with a low carbon content, which has a higher coefficient of friction by 18%. This steel is much more resistant to corrosion than cast steel. In addition, the entire surface is protected with a 3 micron thick layer of zinc, which already erodes in the area of the contact patch of the pad when decelerating. Only from this area of the surface light rust can form in the long service life.
The brake discs are perforated in a bird's-wing design to make do with as few gaps as possible with optimum cleaning of the brake disc from rainwater and brake dust. The fewer holes are provided, the better the wet braking performance and the less wear.
- Rigid brake disc.
- manufactured from low carbon HPSR rolled steel.
- perforated braking surface with optimized hole pattern.
- radial plant.
- Galvanized to protect against corrosion.
- EBC recommends EBC organic brake pads or for sporty drivers EBC Double-H sintered pads.
- Independent design. OUTER DIAMETER: 230MM INSIDE DIAMETER: 118.2MM CIRCLE SIZE: 135 MM HOLES QUANTITY: 6 HOLE DIAMETER: 8.6 MM thickness: 4mm VERSION: RIGID
