Serie EBC X / XC - Discos de freno completamente flotantes para la rueda delantera

Estos discos de freno reemplazan a muchos de los discos de freno LS (izquierda) / RS (derecha) y pueden instalarse en ambos lados.

El acero utilizado para los nuevos discos de freno EBC es un compuesto especial de acero inoxidable con un efecto de fricción mayor que el de los discos de freno de acero inoxidable tratados térmicamente convencionales. Con la mejora del 10% en el efecto de fricción, la fuerza de frenado aumenta aún más.

El peso de las nuevas series X y XC se reduce en un 5-10% adicional gracias al sistema de 6 remaches con un anillo interior liviano, que a su vez representa una mejora con respecto a los discos de freno convencionales.

Los nuevos rotores cuentan con el sistema SD exclusivo y patentado de EBC, cuyos remaches cuadrados en los rebajes del disco de freno, bajo el calor generado durante el frenado, permiten la expansión sin restricciones de los anillos externos e internos sin afectar la junta remachada

Tal deterioro ocurre cuando el disco de freno se calienta con un fuerte frenado y el anillo exterior toca los remaches (normalmente redondos) que separan el anillo exterior del anillo interior. El nuevo sistema EBC evita este problema, que causa el 100% de los defectos del disco de freno causados por la distorsión y vibración del disco.

¿Qué es el sistema SD? Es el nuevo sistema de remachado cuadrado de EBC. Este sistema evita completamente la distorsión del disco de freno, aumenta la vida útil del disco de freno y mejora la durabilidad del efecto de frenado.
