MHR Intake Horns are the icing on the cake, absolutely red, of the very well-stocked Malossi kit for the T-Max 530. Take a deep breath.
Engines are designed by humans, and perhaps for this reason, they resemble each other in some ways. In fact, breathing is one of the most important aspects of athletic activity, so the correct air intake into an engine is one of the fundamental points to work on.
Malossi has designed the MHR Intake Horns from scratch, the pair of horns intended for the Yamaha T-Max 530 to guarantee the best possible performance when combined with the 560 twin-cylinder engine and the rest of the three-tuning-fork maxiscooter kit, perfectly mounted on the standard throttle bodies and retaining the original air filter box.
Machined from a block of high-quality Ergal steel, the diameters of the MHR Intake Horns have been designed to ensure perfect fuel flow, virtually eliminating any roughness. Through precise simulations performed using state-of-the-art software, the length has been calculated to guarantee perfect fluid dynamic performance and thus increase thrust in the mid-to-high rev range, where the dyno has detected a power increase of two horsepower.
They attach to the original filter box with a threaded connector and are secured with an O-ring. Extremely easy to install and designed to withstand a lifetime of corrosion and humidity present inside the extraction system, thanks to the anodizing treatment, once installed the two parts will be perfectly connected, almost completely eliminating any roughness.
The finishing touch is the red finish and the laser-engraved Malossi logo, like a signature. Because the eye wants its share too!
