The “Polini Original Air Filter” is made of high-efficiency flexible expanded polyurethane foam based on cross-linked polyester.
Polini air filters for Honda and Peugeot mopeds are composed of two layers of foam, a finer blue one with a porosity of 60 PPI and a more open black one with a porosity of 30 PPI.
The fine layer filters only the smaller particles, maintaining their characteristics for longer, as it does not come into contact with the larger particles, which have not passed through the pre-filtration performed by the primary layer. The outer surface is distinguished by its corrugated shape, which allows greater airflow entry while removing 50% of coarse dust particles.
The filter's efficiency meets European standard EN779 G3-G4, with a weighted efficiency exceeding 90% and, in particular, more than 50% with 1-micron particles.
Increased dust-retention capacity by impregnating the filter with specific foam filter oil. The filter can be regenerated and cleaned by washing and drying.
