The brand was born in 2003 with the idea of ACCELL GROUP N.V. to market its own XLC brand for bicycle components: XLC, x-cellent bike components.

In its early days, XLC was used as part of ACCELL''s branded bicycle kit. Above all, handlebars, stems and seatposts were used.
Starting in 2005, the Winora Group, a subsidiary of the ACCELL GROUP, began distributing the XLC brand to specialized bicycle shops in Germany and Austria, and later also to other European countries such as France, Spain, the Netherlands and Italy.
Currently, XLC is a brand with an international presence and is available in more than 40 countries in specialized bicycle shops. The XLC brand product range includes bicycle parts, clothing and accessories.

XLC continues to increase its already established product range with innovative and top quality products.
