The founder, Battista Pollini, opened his small workshop in 1945, specializing in the bicycle industry.

Since the 1990s, Polini has launched a new project and has started to produce a series of original Grand Prix minibikes and miniature motorcycles completely "Made in Italy" with safe, complete and reliable engineering solutions. At the wheel of these mini racing cars, the MotoGP champions took their "first steps" on the track. The first example is Valentino Rossi.

In 1997 Polini introduced a new Minicross series with 2T engines that has accompanied many MXGP and MX2 champions since the beginning of their careers.

Since 2009, Polini production has expanded with the Polini Thor brand, the most complete product line on the market with two-stroke engines from 80cc to 250cc for a wide range of aviation needs. Choosing a winner earned the company many national and international titles in various disciplines.

In September 2016, Polini Motori launched a new challenge: the innovative E-P3 electric motor for electric bicycles. The new commitment is characterized by a greater interest in environmental issues and the latest trends in sustainable living.
