Motul brand oil is considered one of the best on the market as it is of the highest quality, thus generating less friction and reducing the chances of residues damaging internal parts and bearings. Before buying any Motul oil, first find out which of them is the best for you to use, since it is not the same to drive on the road than on competition terrain, for example. We solve your doubts!
Motul 7100 4T 10W-60
MOTUL 7100 4T 10W60 is a multigrade synthetic 4-stroke oil with high-quality ester components and special additives for gear lubrication. Exceeds the requirements of motorcycle manufacturers such as: APRILIA, MV AGUSTA, KTM, HUSQVARNA, who prescribe SAE 10W-60 viscosity. For high performance motorcycles, sports motorcycles, street motorcycles, trail motorcycles, off-road motorcycles, enduro, trial, quads, scooters, etc. with 4-stroke engines with or without integrated gearbox, wet or dry clutch. Also for engines that meet Euro-2 or Euro-3 requirements.
SPECIFICATIONS/STANDARDS:
STANDARDS: API SN/SM/SL/SJ/SH/SG Damage Load Level FZG 14FLS
RELAYS: JASO MA2 N° M033MOT119
The JASO (Japan Automobile Standards Organization) has developed its own standard for 4-stroke motorcycle engine oils with JASO T 903. The MA, MA1 and MA2 gradations make it easy to select motorcycle engine oils have been specially developed for wet clutches. JASO MA2 stands for the highest friction values and therefore optimum clutch compatibility when changing gears, during the acceleration phase and also at constantly high speeds.
Advantage:
- The low traction coefficient of the ester components reduces friction losses and improves overall performance.
- Ester components, together with the additive package, improve shear strength, wear protection, and engine and transmission life. This is documented by the excellent FZG test result (Forschungsstelle für Zahnräder und Getriebebau) of 14 FLS (Failure Load Stage). The lower the value, eg 1 FLS, the lower the wear protection, the higher the value, eg 14 FLS, the better the gearbox wear protection. This test can be used to determine if adequate lubricating film thickness between gears ensures reliable gearbox operation.
- The optimized content of sulfur and phosphorus guarantees the long-term operation of the catalysts.
- Prevents corrosion and contamination in the engine.
- For modern engine technology with wet clutch and gearbox lubrication in the same oil bath. The clutch does not bind or slip.
- 10W60 viscosity compensates for unburned fuel input and allows smooth shifting at high operating temperatures.
RECOMMENDATIONS AND NOTES:
Change the interval according to the vehicle manufacturer's specifications or adjusted according to the operating conditions. Before use, be sure to observe the manufacturer's service documents and recommendations.
