Tip:

Thoroughly clean aluminum wheels before winterizing so there's no bad spring awakening. Dirt has accumulated especially on the back of the rim. Because brake abrasion, which burns off layers of paint, causes tiny holes in the paint to bright aluminum. Moisture creates so-called "contact corrosion", which seeps into the paint layers and produces unsightly stains. These mini holes, which can also be caused by stone chips, are covered by dirt. After a thorough cleaning, these weak spots become visible. Simply touch up and prevent further damage.
