Anti-explosion thermal clutch bells
The thermal anti-explosion clutch bells are equipped with a reinforcing ring with fins, to dissipate the heat that is produced mainly at start-up and when the vehicle accelerates from low speeds.
It is a technological innovation derived from research carried out in the field of scooter competitions.
This is the principle on which it is based:
the larger radial surface notably reduces the working temperature of the bell, considerably increasing the duration of the clutch unit.
The clutch group is highly stressed on urban routes, when starting from a standstill and when exiting tight curves with two people on board.
To protect the clutch, Malossi has developed the Maxi Wing Clutch Bell.
It should not be forgotten that the finned reinforcement ring is itself an anti-explosion element, as it has been designed to withstand the high rotational regimes imposed by sporty driving, especially if the engine has been modified, considering that centrifugal force increases quadratically with the increase in revolutions.
