RFX grips are made of high performance synthetic kraton polymer and have the vibration reduction and grip benefits of natural rubber, but resist the damage caused by sunlight and chemicals that natural rubber does .

RFX grips feature a dual density design that allows for an external 60 SA compound that is more durable and resists crash damage. However, it does have a 25 SA compound grip zone with a soft center for improved vibration resistance and comfort.

The RFX grips use the industry standard half waffle design with a flush RFX logo on the palm. This upper diamond, lower waffle design offers the best combination of palm comfort and lower grip for muddy conditions.

Packaged in pairs for use on machines with right twist throttle.

Assembly instructions

Remove the old grips.

Clean the throttle bar and tube to remove all traces of glue with a spray solvent (eg Maxima Electrical Contact Cleaner).

Coat the ends of the throttle tube and bar with a small amount of RFX Grip glue (avoid using too much as it will leak and mess or worse cause improper throttle action)

Slide the grip into position on the handlebars, raising the lip to prevent air from being trapped and rotating it over the handlebars to help distribute the glue evenly.

Place the cuff in the correct position with the RFX logo on the end at ground level.

If necessary, attach the security cable. Wrap the cable evenly through the grip in the two end slots and also two evenly in the center if necessary

Twist the cable using the RFX Cable Pliers to hold the cuff firmly.

Cut the ends of the cable about 4mm long and bend it towards the grip, tapping with a hammer if necessary to fix it in position.

Let the glue dry for at least 8 hours before using it.

Check that no glue has gotten into the accelerator area, making sure that the accelerator returns correctly before use.

Place RFX donuts if needed to prevent blistering and you're good to go

Care instructions

Be careful not to damage the surface of the handlebar when attaching them, and avoid using sharp objects and tools to clean them.

Wash with a sponge and soapy water and rinse with a hose or low pressure water jet

Avoid directing the water jet towards the sealing lip to avoid loosening the grip.

After washing, avoid spraying the grips with chemicals, such as contact cleaners, as these could damage the material.

Check that the grips have not broken after a fall, as this could allow dirt to enter the throttle assembly. Replace them if necessary
