Weight : 2.8Kg - Made of 8mm thick high-density polyethylene plastic, this skid plate has been designed for those who do not wish to use lower crash bars; it offers complete protection for the engine block, exhaust, water pump and crankcases, including compatibility with BMW crash bars. The front and rear mounting systems bolt directly to the engine block, with a shim system for added strength. 8mm thick foam is bonded to each side of the skid plate to prevent rubbing and to the reinforcement under the engine to absorb impacts. HDPE is stronger than carbon and 30 to 40% lighter than its aluminum equivalent. It returns to its original shape after impacts, allowing it to slide over obstacles. Another version COMPATIBLE with BMW protection bars is available under reference AX1765. If you have other accessories on your motorcycle, check compatibility with our skid plate in the « specifications » tab before ordering. Model compatible only with BMW F900GS. ATTENTION: the skid plate is not compatible with all model years.
