Ignition Advance Map
Ignition advance is managed using a three-dimensional map by linear interpolation, which contains 16 parameterization points for rpm and 8 parameterization points for engine temperature.
SAS valve performance map
The secondary intake valve in the injection body allows the engine management to compensate for the typical non-linearity of a carbureted engine. The SAS (Secondary Air Source) valve is managed by the ECU through a linear interpolation operating map that contains 16 parameterization points for RPMs and 8 for engine temperature. The SAS valve reduces emissions and optimizes engine performance for all operational conditions.
PTC Heater
Special attention has been paid to cold start conditions, ensuring proper fuel vaporization under low temperature conditions. The ECU control and the PTC heater, located in the carburetor, maintains the fuel at a constant temperature in the carburetor float bowl.
Ignition coil pack
To increase the life of the 8 mm spark plug used in this engine, the strategy has been to introduce a reduced ignition coil load limit, reducing the wear of the spark plug caused by the electro-erosion effect. This strategy reduces the amount of energy required for ignition at high RPMs and the high voltage of the high-tension coil without compromising engine performance. Additionally, the ECU ensures startup and operation with low battery charge or without a battery. It is possible to start the engine using the kick starter regardless of the battery charge level.
