ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS - CRANKCASE WITH SUPPORT FOR PEUGEOT
The crankcase can be used to mount original or tuned cylinders. To install the new crankcase, it is necessary to separate the engine block from the frame, disassemble the entire engine, and thoroughly wash all parts before reassembling them, including the new crankcase.
ATTENTION: To open the crankcase, heat it to a temperature of 250 degrees. Check the crankshaft and the gudgeon pin bearing to see if they are excessively worn, and if so, replace them. Install the main bearings, heat the crankcase, install the felt and oil seal, install the center gasket, and install the crankshaft, closing the crankcase evenly. Install the cylinder mounting studs, cut off the excess gasket using a knife, install the main gaskets, install the cylinder, checking that the gudgeon pin locks fit perfectly in their housings and have no play. Install the piston rings, the cylinder, the cylinder head gasket, and the cylinder head, tightening the nuts evenly. Install the reed valve using the appropriate gaskets and assemble the intake manifold using the supplied bolts.
IGNITION: Install the ignition and carefully check that the timing is as per the original. Complete the assembly procedure, place the engine in the frame, taking care to insert the original center bushing. Connect the supplied ground cable from the engine to the frame.
